For more than 40 years, gardeners, hobbyists, and landscapers in Sussex County have trusted Farmside Gardens for quality plants, expert advice, and beautiful flowers. Located on 170 acres in Sussex, NJ, we grow many of our own plants right here on the farm and offer one of the most extensive plant selections in the region.
We're a garden center, florist, and farm market with a commitment to providing excellent products and educational opportunities for our community.
Garden Center
One of the things that sets Farmside apart is our variety. We carry hundreds of plant varieties across annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables, herbs, and native plants — one of the largest selections you'll find in the area. We purposefully stock a wide range so you can design a garden that's unique to your space.
Looking for something specific? Our perennial selection in particular is the largest in the area, and we can often fulfill custom orders for hard-to-find varieties. Our team of plant experts is here to help you find what will actually thrive in your conditions and in zone 6.
In addition to plants, we carry soils, mulches, fertilizers, tools, pottery, and everything else you need to get growing.

Florist
Our florists design custom arrangements for any occasion — everyday bouquets, sympathy pieces, celebrations, weddings, and everything in between. Because we grow flowers on the farm, we're able to incorporate fresh, locally grown blooms directly into our arrangements when they're in season.
Wedding flowers are a specialty. Our lead floral designer, Anne, works closely with couples to understand their vision, style, and budget, then designs a personalized package to match. From bouquets and boutonnieres to ceremony arrangements, centerpieces, arbor embellishments, and table decor — every detail is handled with care. There's no minimum on our wedding packages, so we can work with a range of budgets.

Workshops & Events
Throughout the year we host a variety of hands-on workshops and educational events for gardeners at every level. Classes cover topics like spring garden prep, seed starting, cut flower growing, holiday decorating, floral design, and more. In the winters, we host Wreath Making Workshops and other festive, holiday-themed events.
Classes are kept small and hands-on. You'll leave with real, practical knowledge — and usually a project you made yourself.
